Quebec City's Staircase Challenge
|
| |
The Staircase Challenge is sort of a trainning run held in Old Quebec City. In this untimed 10K, participants will run or wa lk the streets of Old Quebec City and more than 2000 stairs which connect the Lower Town with the Upper Town. Streets will not be closed to traffic which means that participants will have to respect roadsigns and markings.
Participants will run up and down 21 different staircases; a bit more than 2000 steps... Each will be given a bib to the color of the Challenge and on which all the names of the staircases will beprinted.
A detailed plan will be handed out; also, directions will be marked on the ground and distances will be indicated before each staircase.
All those who have completed the course within the time limit, will receive the Staircase Challenge medal.
The number of participants is limited to 300. Bibs will be given on a first come first served basis. Only participants registered to one of Sunday's events can participate to the Quebec City Staircase Challenge! |
