The best CLIMBER
It’s in the last staircase of the course, the Cap-Blanc (398 steps), that all participants will be invited to compete in order to crown the best climber of the Quebec City Staircase Challenge. Prizes will be given to both men and women.

It’s once at the top of the Cap-Blanc staircase that the sprint starts for about 1.5K. The running speed of each participant will be measured. Prizes will be given to both men and women.

Time limit & Timing

Time limit : You must finish your race before 11:45 am.

The MyLaps Bibtag system from Sporstats will be used for the Staircase Challenge.

With this system, there is no need to attach the timing device to a shoe. The timing tag is in the back of the bib.

The bib does not need to be returned after the race.

Starting Times

For the Oasis Challenge, there is now three starts. The choice of this starting time will be made at registration, on a "First come – First serve" basis.

Participants will start in groups of 6 every 12 seconds.
Walkers will be invited to start first.

  • 20 to 24 years old
  • 25 to 29 years old

  • 35 to 39 years old
  • 40 to 44 years old
  • 45 to 49 years old
  • 50 to 54 years old
  • 55 to 59 years old
  • 60 to 64 years old
  • 65 to 69 years old
  • 70 years and older

First position of each age category

The first of each age group of the 2016 edition wins a free registration for the 2017 Quebec City Staircase Challenge.
